Scott walks to a chair and sits back in it, crossing his well-dressed leg over his knee. Alexa watches as he tugs gently at the tailored pant leg and brushes his fingers over the material before speaking. Such a simple gesture, but so sexy when performed by Scott. “Mentoring Alexa for so many years gave me such satisfaction. She was my star pupil, and my pride and joy,” Scott says with a tone that sounds like his voice was soaked in honey.

Right off the bat you're given a glimpse of Scott, as the first chapter (and every chapter) opens up with a quote from one of the characters. I loved this!
"You and me, we'll never be over. You know it. I know it." ~Scott Patrick
I immediately feel the desire and I've not even read the first sentence in the first chapter.
Meet Alexa! She's fire, passion, independent, career driven and lonely. In ways I can't begin to express, I'm drawn to Alexa. I feel a deep connection with her and maybe it's because I feel sorry for her, but in all likely hood, it's because the author does a tremendous job at explaining Alexa's personality and portraying her as someone you want to know whether you like her or not. She's complexity personified.
Scott! Where do I start with this guy?
He had me wanting to be on my knees in front of him.
"I want to be an equal to you. But deep inside, I want to be on my knees in front of you. That's just the motherfucking truth." ~Alexa
Scott is another complex character, and even more so. He kept me on the edge of my seat thru most of the book, because I really had no clue what to expect from him next.
The relationship between this duo is hard to understand at first. I was a little confused on where this was going because I was under the impression that Scott was just this big shot business owner that had a fling with an employee and sent her packing after their deal was over. Turns out it's more than that, because Scott wants to dominate Alexa, but she's not sure she wants ONLY that. For me the thought processing was hard to do while reading their story. At times I felt like I had to think too much about where they had been in their past to get to where they were now.
The sex is HOT! and as most of you know by now, my Whore-der perviness loves some hard-dirrrty-fucking. And boy did we get some!
I enjoyed this book a ton! But, there were just a few things missing for me. Number one being the ending. FUCK ME!!! That's it??? I wanted/needed something more after the slip n' slide I felt like I was on while reading this book.
