BEFORE NOW by Cheryl McIntyre~~~ Review & Giveaways!!!

Synopsis:

Park Reed is a bastard in every sense of the word. He hasn't always been this way. But after his heart was broken by the only girl he ever loved, being heartless gets him through the day and allows him to fill his nights with the nameless girls he has no intentions of seeing again. He now lives his life following his ever-growing list of “life lessons.”

Lucy Braden is everything Park is not. She’s sweet, caring, and an all-around nice person. She tries to follow Lucy's Rules to Live By every day.

When Park moves in with Jessie, which happens to be the floor below Lucy, Jessie's one stipulation: Lucy is off limits to Park. The problem with that is Lucy is determined to be a good friend to Park and see past the drinking and random girls to find the man beneath it all. The other problem: Park follows his own rules.

*This is a New Adult novel. Recommended for 17+ due to sexual situations, harsh language, and drug and alcohol use.

Before Now is a companion novel to Sometimes Never, and many of its characters are in Park’s story. However, it can be read as a stand-alone book.

Wendy's 5+++ Give 'em some BJ's review
Park Reed..............motherfuckingholyshitballz!!! I've got a new book boyfriend and he goes by the name Park. Yea, that's right!!! Soak this shit up girls. If you like a bad boy with attitude and some insecurities, this one is for you.
After reading Sometimes Never, Mason & Hope's story, I was floored with how Park handled things. Then come to find out he's getting his own story and I knew I was going to have to get my hands on it. I'm so glad that I was able to and loved every bit of his book. Park Reed is beyond a naughty boy and I was instantly drawn to him.
The book starts out with a prologue from Park's perspective on the whole Mason and Hope "thing" and we really see how he's feeling during this breaking news. My heart ached for him because I knew this was going to be hard.
Que meeting Lucy! The free spirited neighbor of Park's now roommate, Jessie. I love Lucy! She's beautiful and happy and a just all around fun person. Lucy has "Rules to Live By" and we find her breaking and crossing out some of those while she journey's on this whirlwind of a relationship with Park. These two are like night and day, but fit so perfectly together. The spark between them is magnetic and amazing to watch.
Park eventually looses out on something good with Lucy, but it's of his own making and later he regrets his decision to make her hate him. I wanted to reach into my kindle at points of this book and nut punch Park. I'm telling you what though, this bad boy is right up my alley. I fell fast and I fell hard for him. I cannot tell you enough how big of a sucker I am for these bad boys in books, and Park Reed fits my order EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!
Guy, Park's best friend, is back in this story and their friendship is a little on the rocks, but things eventually work out, and for that I am especially grateful. Enter Hope and Mason, and Park is reeling. How can Park move on without Hope if she's around again? But, Mason gives Park some words, that I think help push him in the right direction, and even if they're not what he wants to hear, he does listen.
Park finds a way to "win" Lucy back and it's done in such a way that it gave me butterflies in my tummy and even some tears in my eyes.
I am officially hooked on Park Reed. In fact I've bumped him up on my book boyfriend list to the number 3 spot. Yes!!! He's that good of a bad boy.

All in all, I give this book 6.5 out of 5 SLOPPY BLOW JOBS!!!

While it's said that this book can be read as a stand alone, I really think the reader should start with Sometimes Never first so that they understand why Park is the way he is. A ton of  the same characters from Sometimes Never make an appearance in Before Now, and I'm loving this book. I literally devoured it in one sitting. Lucy and Park have a lot to work through, and boy is it an intense read at times, but so damn good!
This book will take you on a ride that you wont soon forget. In fact, I think you'll be impatiently waiting for something new from Cheryl McIntyre.
