Synopsis:
Growing up in small town Belcrest, Maddy Jennings thought she was destined to be with her childhood love Trent Basso. Their friendship blossomed into love as they weaved in and out of each other’s lives, from school aged to young adulthood. During her complicated path with Trent, another love interest seems to be her constant. The problem is the other love interest is Trent’s older brother. Trent’s brother is bound to keep a promise to him even if it means keeping his distance from Maddy, but it doesn’t stop him from being a friend she can count on.

When Maddy returns to her hometown after two years for her brother’s wedding, she will have to face not only Trent but his brother as well. As the two Basso brothers fight to win her heart, she struggles to forgive her mom and accept her apology, in order to mend their relationship?

She must decide to either forfeit her happiness or tear a family apart.

Wendy's Review:
Son of a fucking heart ache!!! GAAAAAAAHHHH...My chest. It hurts. So. Fucking. Bad. But, all in a good way.
When I read the synopsis of this book, I was thinking I was going to be reading another book that has a foreseeable ending. I couldn't have been more surprised! And let me say that this is one of those books that when you read it, you'll completely understand. I loved that it went from present to past to present...I can't tell you how much this kind of thing gets to me, but I know that when I'm in the past with these characters I can feel every. Damn. Thing.
We're back in Maddy's home town for her big brothers wedding and Maddy is hating the fact that she has to be in this hellhole. The place where all of her demons lay.
Oh, Maddy! At first, I kinda wanted to give this girl a big ol' knuckle graze to her hunter and then I started getting more into the story and had a moment of clarity and thought that maybe I wasn't being fair to her. Finally! I got it. My gut was wrenching for this chick. I had no clue what was going on, but I knew it was something deep and painful. Needless to say, when it comes out, if you don't feel the extreme sorrow and rage that I felt, then you didn't fucking read it right. HA!
So, I waited and waited to meet Trent. He just wasn't coming up. But boy did I get a kick to the stomach with the arrival of Gabe. WHEW! Talk about immediate attraction. Gabe is...well...Gabe is fucking sexy! He's dependable, worthy, panty-melting-yumminess. I started rooting for him right from the get go. But, of course I kept thinking that there was just no way. Why? why would Maddy pick Gabe and not Trent?
Oh and then...Meet Trent. Yeah, you ever have one of those moments where you meet someone for the first time and you want nothing more than to pull out your inner ninja and do some kung-fu shit on their ass? I can honestly say that there was only one redeeming quality about this guy and it was his fucking body. Okay, really maybe he gets better at the end, but I just... I couldn't feel much for him other than some pity, which in my book sucks. Don't get me wrong, without his character this book probably wouldn't have garnered much of my support because he's an angsty guy that just needs to be here.
A story of everlasting friendship, support, denial, heartbreak, courage, forgiveness, and most importantly LOVE, this book will eat you up and spit your fucking guts out. LOVE ME BACK is a must read.
Overall I adored this book! 5 HUGE misgiving (for the synops), commanding stars!!!

Clare's Review:
Aaaahhh!!! This book. My heart hurts. My stomach hurts. My eyes are stuck...Shit. Fuck. Shit.
Shit. Where to begin...
This is a great book. It jumps from past to present, which really keeps the anticipation up and I loved it. I had so much connection to the characters. I wanted it to be over and I never wanted it to end!!
So Maddy comes back to her hometown for her brother's wedding, and all you know is she is dreading it. As the past gets delved into, you see why. And she has so many reasons! Aside from a crappy family life, she's got these two brothers....not HER brothers (!!), just two hot guys who ARE brothers, who Maddy has known most of her life. The story of her relationships with Trent and Gabe unfolds in just the most painful way. I kind of almost hate Trent the whole time, well, most of the time. But I can still understand and feel Maddy's ties to him. And Gabe. Gabe is amazing and he hurts my heart.
This is an AMAZING story of love and friendship and loyalty and forgiveness. It will definitely make one of my top books of the year! 5 stars, easy.

Also, I mean....just look below....

About Michelle:

Michelle Lynn has always been a reader, but her passion has become a full-blown addiction since her husband bought her a Kindle for Mother's Day. She's pretty sure that he regrets this on a regular basis. Especially when she has it propped up next to the stove while she cooks, which often results in a burnt dinner. Or when he loses sleep because the glow from the screen wakes him up when he rolls over at three in the morning. He does agree, however, that she uses this gift more than any other he has ever gotten her. She joking counters that, because of some of the steamy novels she reads, he also benefits more from this gift than any other he has gotten her. ;)

Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.
