Aleatha Romig is a fucking brilliant, evil genius! I didn’t think it was possible for Consequences to be topped but Truth took my breath away.
Let’s just get it out here…I am Team Tony. I always have been. Yes, he is fucked up beyond all natural comprehension but I am very drawn to him. As a boy, he became a product of his environment. As a man, he became ruthless, maniacal and vengeful. It is all he knows. It is his way of life. Until Claire….

However, my feelings for Tony don’t diminish my love for Claire. She is so resilient. Her ability to morph into “whatever” she needed to be to survive in Consequences was astonishing. The damage Tony has inflicted on her didn’t break her…it only bent her. We see more of this NEW Claire in Truth.
Truth enters us right back into Tony and Clare’s world, where Consequences left off. Truth is filled with devious plots, twists and unexpected turns. New “game changing characters” are introduced to the scene. Not everything or everyone is as they appear. Appearances can be VERY deceiving. While I won’t reveal any spoilers, you will experience a monumental WTF moment. While dominating, controlling, egoistical Tony is struggling to be a better man… Claire gets her freedom, finds a new loyal and loving support system, and a new love interest. Harry. I know he is a good guy but I SO was not feeling him. He did nothing for me. He was toooo damn perfect. Meh, give me the sexy controlling alpha male with emotional distress and it makes my heart go pitter patter. Harry has NOTHING on my Tony!
Truth on a scale of 1 to 5 stars is a certified 10!
I am eagerly waiting for the release of Convicted. I am in NEED of more Tony and Claire.

GAAAHHHH!!!! THIS BOOK IS AN EVIL GENIUS!!!!!!!! I will never get it out of my head. Ever. It's just...AAAHHHH!!!!
I'm not sure I've ever read a book as twisted and surprising and manipulative as this one. I wanted to hate Tony so badly. SO. BADLY. Steph kept telling me: Team Tony! Team Tony. I thought she was batshit crazy for a while. But...I love him. So so much. AND IT'S SO WEIRD!!!!!!!!! It doesn't help that even though it's spelled differently, I was reading about a Claire. I lived this whole thing with her. I felt everything. So somehow I understood all the emotions and all of her reasoning. See. Manipulative. In the most phenomenal way possible.
You, clearly, need to read Consequences first. And that's not an easy read because it's damn serious, but fascinating. It's the whole prologue though and every detail is important. I have to say, I can read a novel in a couple of hours. This took me DAYS. Not in any sort of bad way, but I had to absorb everything and sort through my feelings on everything. Fascinating is a good way to describe this book. My mind is still reeling and I am not sure what can top this. I am, literally, dying for Convicted to come out.
Out of 5 stars, I give it a million bajillion.
