Steph's Review:
Cassie is strong, sassy, and independent. After finally getting
the chance to leave her damaged childhood behind her, she enlists in the
military to find her place in life. She
has a strong desire to succeed in the military but jeopardizes it all after Cruz
sets her body on fire with one touch while tearing down the walls she has guarding
her heart.
Alex is the ultra-alpha male. (I find him sexy as hell.) He is one
badass Sergeant. Cocky as hell and takes NO shit form anyone. His entire life revolves
around his career. Nothing could take him away from the military until he sets
his sight on Cassie.
Cassie and Alex tried desperately to stay away from each other. But
they failed miserably. After a little bit of drama filled angst, a few mixed
signals from Alex, and a shit load of stolen looks and caresses…. the couple’s
chemistry explodes.
The only real flaw I could find was the damn cliffhanger. It
wasn’t a WTF cliffhanger; just enough to leave you wanting more but damn….I am
growing slightly tired of this trend.
However, the writing flows easily and made for a quick read. I devoured
it in a single afternoon. I can’t wait
to read the next book! I need more of Alex and Cassie!

I love to write, even if it isn't what is conventional and makes everyone feel giddy inside. I usually pull from dreams, or ideas that just thrust themselves into my head. I have what some would describe as a dry sense of humor, and I think its conveyed in my writing. I like to think I am a kick ass chick, but I can also be sensitive. I'm learning to grow thick skin, and in this field, it is definitely needed!
