Synopsis:
Hunter finally has MacKenzie Cahill, the girl of his dreams. A horrible accident finds those dreams threatened. As their lives change, secrets begin to surface. These revelations could prove to be either the downfall of Hunter and MacKenzie or the catalyst that strengthens their bond.
Hunter has painful choices to make. Will he realize what he has before it’s gone? He knows what he must do to save his future, but will he be leaving everyone else in his past?
Will the bond between the two families be strong enough to keep them together?
Excerpt:
"Are we able to go see the baby now?"
"Yes of course, you need to go up to the fifth floor and the nurses there will be able to help you. Congratulations son."
"Thank you." I turned to everyone; they all had tears in their eyes, even badass Mason.
"Let’s go see the newest McCormick." Mason said, clapping me on the back.
We all rode the elevator up to the fifth floor and went quickly to the nurses’ station. I explained who we were and a friendly looking woman escorted us to the waiting room, explaining that only two people were allowed in at a time.
I looked over at Mrs. Cahill, knowing she would want to see the baby. She nodded at me and we followed the nurse back to a locker room, where she handed us scrubs. "I need you to put these on for the safety of the babies and your own. When you’re done I will show you where you can visit."
She left the room and we quickly put the blue scrubs over our clothes. I opened the door and we followed her down a hallway and turned left into a room where I heard all kinds of different machines. My stomach clenched thinking that my baby was hooked up to one of these.
The nurse gave me a small smile, probably noticing my panicked expression, "It’s ok to be afraid, it’s a little overwhelming." We strolled a few more feet before she stopped in front of one of the tiny beds. "Here’s your little miracle." She smiled at me then stepped aside.

This was an AMAZING follow up to Trying Not To Love You. If you've read TNTLY then you know that Megan left us all on one hell of a cliff side with nowhere to go but to continue to hang by our fingernails. ETLY picked up exactly where we left off and Megan did not fail in providing us all an exciting ride. We see further into CC and Hunters relationship and watch them raise and nurture and live their precious little Ryder. There are twists in this book that had me sidelined and struggling to catch my breath at times. You'll all be happy to know that Megan does not leave us with bloody fingernails from dangling with this book although it does leave us with some incite into the third book. I will impatiently waiting for the 3rd book so I can catch up on a little bit more of Hunter and Kenzie and little baby Ryder along with the rest of the gang.

Wow. Just wow. My eyes are sore cause I couldn't put this book down. I cried a bit, laughed, hurt, and lusted. And that's all in one day because I couldn't put it down and chose to ignore sleep and my family until it was done. Basically I'm exhausted but if book 3 was out, I would totally just keep reading. I don't know how to give much explanation without passing out spoilers but....Kenz is my BFF. I love her and I think she's real and nobody better fucking underestimate her again. Hunter...is amazing, although he does underestimate MacKenzie at times so I do kind of wanna give him a nurple, but I'm a slut so I'll forgive him any time. Hailey, Mason, Cooper, Jaylinn, Jackson, Chloe...the best overbearing family ever. This series just keeps going and I have a book hangover and I plan on spending the rest of the day drinking champagne with cucumbers over my eyes until I can handle the real world again.
