If you play with fire…

Tossed out of college and cut off by her parents, Samantha West is in pretty dire straits. So when her rocker best friend hooks her up with a job dancing at a gentlemen’s club, who is she to turn it down? Plus, there are rules to dancing at Benny’s: No touching, keep your clothes on at all times, and never get closer than three feet. Unfortunately for Sam, her first private client makes her want to break every single one of them.

Harrison Yates is scorching hot, but he’s got a past that involves being left at the altar not too long ago. Sam is determined to make him forget about his ex, but when she makes her move, it flings her life into a spiral of chaos she never saw coming.

Because Harrison Yates isn’t who he seems to be. And his secret will probably get her killed.

Clare's Review:
You know when you have that book hangover that you can't get over?? You need a month to decompress and heal and every book you read falls flat?? Well that's where I was. I even passed on some books to other cause I knew I couldn't do them justice. Til this. Til....Harrison. The Harrison Hangover Cure. Yes. Please.
A Little Too Hot?? Psht. Little shmittle. I lived every moment and could actually visualize EVERY MOMENT (which is awesome btw). Lisa Desrochers does an amazing job of drawing the reader into the scene and bringing it to life.
So you've read A Little Too Far, right?? If you haven't, you better! These are all stand alones, so you don't have to, but you really should!!! Anyway, I'm assuming you have, cause you're awesome. Well, remember Sam?? Who was a bit annoying, a bit ridiculous, you weren't quite sure how you felt about her?? You knew there were redeeming qualities but she made some reeeeaaaallllyyyy dorkish decisions and I wasn't sure I'd be friends with her. And then so much happened...I never gave her a second thought!
Well this is Sam's story. First you get a little insight into those dorky and damaging and .......really embarrassing decisions. And then you see her start to work it out.
And then you totally fall in love with her quirks and her weaknesses and her resilience! She needs a job so she starts dancing. Hot dancing, not nekkid dancing.
And THEN you meet Harrison. Whew!!!! And then you watch Harrison meet Sam...and see Harrison watch Sam...
("I'm acutely aware that I'm alone in a room with the hottest man I've ever laid eyes on. And he's here for the soul purpose of watching me move...Which makes it really hard to move.")
...and feel what they feel. It hurts so good!
But then the secrets and regrets surface, though the feelings never wane. Their connection is visceral.
"'It was like all the parts were there; the heart, the lungs, the flesh, and bone, but that intangible thing that makes something alive was missing, if that makes any sense." He lifts his head and fixes me in his most intense gaze. "I don't feel that way with you.'"
I don't want to spoil anything in this book. There are lots of surprises that will keep you turning the pages or clicking the right side of your kindle. It's fabulous and not one to miss out on! 2014 is starting out as a phenomenal book year so far!!!
"His lips brush over my forehead, like butterfly wings, on his way to my ear where his tongue strokes before he nips at my lobe. I don't open my eyes, because sensations flooding through my body--his delicious scent, and the feel of his hands, the sound of his soft moan--are already too much to handle. Seeing him would send me over the edge of control."
Criminy. Please excuse me while I...ahem...
Easy peasy 5 stars!
