Melissa's Review:

Sharing Harper and Stealing Ryder were honestly some hard books for me personally to get through. The reason...the author did a PHENOMENAL job portraying the lifestyle of an abuser and an abusee. Reading certain parts of these books literally left me breathless, shaking, and remembering so much of my very own past that pretty much mirrored Harper's.

"The worst part about all of it was after we got into an episode, he would sink into the corner crying like a child, begging for my forgiveness and most people would run away screaming, but I always went over to him and gave him my forgiveness and the next day we would act like nothing happened."

"That was always the part that hurt me the most. The fact that he would sit there bawling his eyes out waiting for me to apologize and I would. I felt as if I was a nobody without him. I felt as if I would be drained of any sort of life I had if I let him go. So, I always just went to him and comforted him. he only cried to make me feel bad. He always won...I always felt guilty."

Harper has one helluva fucked up past leaving her feeling lost, damaged and heading down a self destructive path. She hates her past and wants to get as far away from it as possible. After moving to whole nother state she finds herself coming face to face with Ryder, the guy from the coffee shop. But he is soooo much more than that!

Ryder has his own demons to face along with raising his daughter, but in the process, together, they overcome. The sex and sparks between these two are unlike any other. They are connected on a deeper level.

" I took a deep breath and repeated to myself that the hardest roads in life we often took lead to the most rewarding moments."

"We were epic soulmates just waiting for the first chapter to begin of our story."

"A girl who thought that pushing people away would protect her. Really, it was all about finding the right person to share your heart with."

Ryder and Harper get their HEA in book two  after they FINALLY learn to communicate! At one point, I really just wanted to choke them both and tell them to quit assuming and fucking communicate!!!! It was very frustrating but so very worth it!

Sharing Harper and Stealing Ryder were both solid 4 star reads for me!

I can't wait to see what comes next!
